LIVE industry BRIEF

Framework

FB-Pro’s Live Brief is a bespoke hands-on production experience that connects students directly with the creative industries.

Each project is shaped by a live brief, developed in collaboration with our educational partners, leading filmmakers, musicians, designers, and visual artists — giving students the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s finest technicians and creatives on real productions with real outcomes.

Students are supported across a diverse range of skills including film, music, art, fashion, performing arts, graphics, concept art, animation, and more. They are encouraged to explore their ideas and develop their unique creative voice—especially through experimental, visually-led projects that push boundaries and foster innovation. Our creative student ecosystem actively facilitates connections across disciplines, enabling students to collaborate, share insights, and inspire one another beyond traditional boundaries. Many briefs also centre on regional charities and community stories with significant social impact, helping students recognise not only the value of their creative talents but also their responsibility to tell meaningful, impactful stories that resonate beyond the screen.

Live Briefs give students more than just experience — they provide a platform to collaborate, contribute, and create with purpose.

How It Works

Project Briefing: We collaborate with educational partners, industry professionals and community organisations to create live briefs that reflect current challenges and opportunities. Students receive a clear, detailed outline of the project's objectives, target audience, and desired outcomes.

Project Length: Our briefs are tailored specifically to the unique needs of each partnering institution. They can vary in duration—from a single day, to one week, or extend throughout an entire academic year. These custom briefs are designed to stand alone or integrate seamlessly into existing modules, providing targeted support that enhances the teaching curriculum.

Team Formation: Students are grouped into cross-generational, diverse teams to encourage fresh perspectives and collective innovation, mirroring professional creative environments.

Concept Development: Guided by fb-pro mentors, teams research and craft concepts using cutting-edge techniques and storytelling strategies tailored to the brief.

Production & Execution: From scriptwriting and shooting music videos to designing outreach campaigns for charities, students apply their skills practically, supported by state-of-the-art resources and technical expertise.

Presentation & Feedback: Final projects are showcased to clients and peers. Constructive feedback is provided to hone skills and enhance professional readiness.
