FB-Pro’s Live Brief is a hands-on production experience that connects students directly with the creative industries.
Each project is shaped by a live brief, developed in collaboration with our educational partners, leading filmmakers, musicians, designers, and visual artists — giving students the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s finest creatives on real productions with real outcomes.
Students are encouraged to explore their ideas and develop their creative voice — especially through experimental, visually-led music videos that push boundaries and allow for experimentation. At the same time, many briefs focus on regional charities and community stories with social impact, helping students understand not only the value of their creative skills, but also the responsibility they carry to tell stories that matter.
Live Briefs give students more than just experience — they provide a platform to collaborate, contribute, and create with purpose.
How It Works
Project Briefing: We collaborate with educational partners, industry professionals and community organisations to create live briefs that reflect current challenges and opportunities. Students receive a clear, detailed outline of the project's objectives, target audience, and desired outcomes.
Team Formation: Students are grouped into cross-generational, diverse teams to encourage fresh perspectives and collective innovation, mirroring professional creative environments.
Concept Development: Guided by fb-pro mentors, teams brainstorm, research, and craft concepts using cutting-edge techniques and storytelling strategies tailored to the brief.
Production & Execution: From scriptwriting and shooting music videos to designing outreach campaigns for charities, students apply their skills practically, supported by state-of-the-art resources and technical expertise.
Presentation & Feedback: Final projects are showcased to clients and peers. Constructive feedback is provided to hone skills and enhance professional readiness.
